Don't feed your babies the same lies
Though these words in the graphic may sound strong, their meaning holds a gentle truth. Children are not vessels to be filled with our fears, beliefs, traumas, or insecurities. They are living gardens of possibility, entrusted to our care, not to be controlled or manipulated, but to be cultivated.
What they need is not the weight of our unfinished stories, but the nourishment of love and the freedom of discovery. Offer them fertile soil through patience, clear waters through honesty, the light of guidance through wisdom, and gentle pruning through discipline rooted in compassion. Then, allow them to grow in the direction their own essence calls them.
They are not here to become what we could not be, nor to embody the mold of our expectations. They are here to be, in the fullness of whatever their “unique” destiny requires.
The greatest education you can give them is not found in words or lessons, but in the radiance of your example. Show them kindness by living it. Teach them love by embodying it. Reveal to them peace through your presence, humility through your actions, empathy through your listening, forgiveness through your heart, gratitude through your daily walk, and compassion through your being.
This is true education: to mirror for them the virtues that awaken the soul. To walk before them not as an authority imposing form, but as a light illuminating possibility.
So, let them be, not what you imagine, not what you desire, but what Life, in its wisdom, has designed them to be. For in that freedom lies their truth, and in their truth lies the flowering of the world.
