The Fruit We Give
As you may have noticed in many of my writings, I often turn to nature, for within its simplicity lie some of life's most profound truths.
An apple is not for the apple tree. An orange does not nourish the tree that produced it. A tree creates shade, yet it does not rest beneath its own branches.
Nature gives without needing to consume its own gifts.
Perhaps there is wisdom in that: What grows within us is not meant only for us.
Our knowledge, talents, experiences, kindness, strength, and even the wisdom born from our struggles can become fruit for another human being. And sometimes we forget this because we measure our value by how we feel about ourselves.
You may be struggling and still speak the words someone needs to hear.
You may be hurting and still offer kindness.
You may feel lost and still become a light along someone else's path.
A tree does not need to taste its own fruit to know that it has something valuable to give.
Neither do you.
You may never know what your smile softened, what your encouragement awakened, or how far a simple act of kindness traveled. A word can become courage. Compassion can become healing. Knowledge can become opportunity. Love can become love shared again and again.
Perhaps this is one of nature's quietest lessons: We are not here only to gather. We are also here to give.
So, recognize what grows within you. Share it. Do not wait until you feel completely healed, successful, wise, or whole before believing you have something to offer.
You do not have to be a full moon to shine. A sliver of light can still break the darkness.
Know your value. Know your light. And never underestimate what your life can give to another. Perhaps some of the most beautiful things growing within you were never meant to end with you.
Let them become fruit. Let them become gifts. Let them become light.
