WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT… (PART 1)
Life is about:
- focusing on living to the fullest here and now, as opposed to focusing on the promise of an afterlife.
- appreciating it as the most wonderful gift, as opposed to seeing it as a punishment, or just a simple biological occurrence or accident in time and space.
- understanding that every experience, regardless of how hard it is, is an opportunity to learn and grow, as opposed to seeing it as a problem, bad luck, or curse (why me?).
- realizing that this here is Heaven, as opposed to expecting Heaven to be somewhere else in the afterlife.
- taking the hard path of continuously working on ourselves, as opposed to taking the easy path of believing that something bigger than us is going to do what we have not been able to do for ourselves.
- seeking the truth and experiencing it, as opposed to just believing in something told to you.
- carving our own lives like a sculpture one experience at a time, as opposed to just allowing the environment and circumstances to shape us.
- working toward liberation, as opposed to working toward acquiring and possessing more material things, knowledge, relationships, etc.
- realizing that our true nature is a spiritual being with a material body, having this human experience, as opposed to just a material being with some sort of spiritual component (soul).
- realizing our place in relationship to the whole (oneness), as opposed to taking advantage of everything for personal gain.
